Students

No competition would be complete without great prizes to give you incentive to get involved… In addition to all the glory and praise from your classmates, college leaders and a chance to personally interact with the region's business elite, there are key prizes for each team member on the region's winning team:
  • Winners of the Retain The Brains Marketing Plan Competition will be honored with a high-impact summer internship program with the Greater Rochester Visitors' Association (GRVA), this region's marketing organization, and stewards of the "Rochester: Made For Living" marketing campaign. First and foremost, student interns will have the opportunity to integrate their winning messages, themes and marketing tactics into the broader marketing for this region under the RMFL campaign. Additionally, the winners will gain invaluable real-world, hand's-on experience in marketing, market research, advertising, media choice and media buying, and will gain exposure to an impressive variety of community leaders and elected officials. Interns will be asked to make presentations to a variety of decision-makers and community stakeholders, and will be asked to present on the results and impact of their marketing initiatives on raising awareness and improving attitudes among our college student / college graduate target audience.
All competitors will receive a personal letter of commendation from the organizers of this competition: RYP, GRE, RBA, GRVA, and also from Rochester City Mayor William Johnson and Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks.
