Brief History

The Retain the Brains (RTB) Marketing Plan Competition was first conceived-of by Peter Bruu and organized by a small group of volunteers that care about this issue. As Rochester residents, we've seen a consistent outflow of our area's talented college graduates and young professionals, and concluded that these people must not be seeing all the awesome things Rochester can offer!

We concluded the best way to expose our area college students and graduates was to encourage them to help expose themselves and their peers… with prizes for the team that does the best job! Click here for the original Press Release.

All of our efforts in this endeavor were conceived to support and augment the current initiatives under way in the form of existing community marketing-the output of RTB will be used by the community leaders who craft our community's marketing message-with the goal of speaking more directly and persuasively to the audience Rochester seeks most to connect with-you!

We are all volunteers and other than the cash prize provided by Greater Rochester Enterprise and Rochester Business Alliance, the competition was completed through the generosity and support of our partners and sponsors.

The following volunteers have made the competition possible. Without these people, we simply could not have accomplished our goal:
Peter Bruu
Christopher Burns
George Marron

Ben Margolis
Krista Hamburg
Russ Schwartzbeck
